If so, then come and join us on the Gritstone Charity Walk .
The Gritstone Charity Walk is a community project organised by The Rotary Club of Kidsgrove.
This year’s event takes place on Saturday August 25th 2018 and features 5 walks to suit different fitness levels, ranging from a 3.5 mile walk to a 22 mile walk (see Routes). Choose a route to suit yourself and then submit the application form (see Apply).
All the walks pass through beautiful countryside and start and finish at the Bleeding Wolf Pub in Scholar Green, South Cheshire. They are timed to finish at approximately the same time (early evening) and there’ll be refreshments available at the pub for those walkers who wish to "celebrate" their achievement.
Walkers can take their dogs on the walk providing the dogs are kept under control.
There’s a small entrance fee for the walks (see Routes) and part of this goes to pay for the organisation of the walk and the remainder goes to The Rotary Club of Kidsgrove's selected good causes.
Additionally, entrants will be sent a sponsorship form when they apply and they are encouraged optionally to obtain sponsorship from relatives, colleagues and friends for a charity, good cause or community project of their own choice.
